Guidelines for users

1. The main aim of the Standardized Bidding Package Advisory Centre is to provide information, support and development services to Procuring Entities and the Contracting Community on the use of the Standardized Bidding Packages (SBPs) with a view to speeding up the preparation of the tender documents and simplifying the compilation of the SBPs.

2. Specifically, The Standardized Bidding Package Advisory Centre provides training on compilation of the SBPs to Procurement Units, Ministerial Tender Committees and District Administration Tender Committees secretaries. This will also involves understanding the Procuring Entities’ needs and recommending the type of package to be used, and the selection of the forms to comprise a specific package.

3. The Advisory Centre is intended for cases where there is need for guidance and clarity on the SBPs; otherwise the normal invitation to tender process will be maintained.

4. The simplified SBPs, accessible from this website, are grouped into broad categories of Disposal, Services, Supplies and Works. Click here to view the categories
